With two somewhat lackluster burgers, this burger promises to be packed full of zip.

This burger. Guys. This burger.
It's a beef patty, topped with a spicy salsa verde. The salsa verde is made from poblano peppers and tomatillos which are first roasted, then mixed with lightly cooked onions and a fresh jalapeño pepper and processed into a salsa. Once the burgers are cooked, you melt a slice of Monterey Jack cheese on top, then add the salsa verde and a thick slice of tomato and you're good to go. The amount of excitement I have for this burger is high.
On to the burger.
First we made up the awesome salsa verde, which we determined wasn't hot enough for us, so we took the bold step of adding another jalapeño. That added quite a bit of kick to the verde.

When it was all said and done, we built our burgers. Bun, cheeseburger, scoop o' salsa verde, thick slice of tomato, bun.

Our thoughts:
Husband: Well, we pre-tasted the salsa verde and decided it did not have enough heat, so we added another jalapeño, and it sure added some heat! It's a good burger, just doesn't have that wow. Needs something to balance the salsa verde.
8/10
Me: This burger was pretty banging. It was spicy from the verde, but also a little bit sweet. The tomato added a nice bit of freshness. I think possibly adding a nice sharp cheddar instead of the Monterey cheese would have the bite we were missing. I really liked it though.
